Annual Pancake B'Fast

The Annual Pancake Breakfast began in 2010 as a Memorial to celebrate the birthday of our very dear friend, Jeryl Picking Anderson. As the years pass and our family and friends join each other in heaven, we wish to include others who are important to not only the hosts of the breakfast, but also to you, those within our ELC family and the neighboring community.

Jesus blessed and broke bread and fish and fed 5,000

The Quinsigamond Village/South Worcester Ecumenical Church group will package meals to feed more than 10,000 people to help reduce food insecurity within our communities.

WHEN: Saturday, April 13^th at 2 PM

WHERE: Emanuel Lutheran Church, Worcester, MA

Each meal costs just $.35, WHAT CAN YOU DONATE TO HELP?
Attend the event and participate in helping to package meals to feed 10,000.
Come, fight against food insecurity and help staff the meal lines.
Meals will be distributed to local organizations working to combat food insecurity.

Grant Award - Community Meals

We are thrilled to have received a New England Synod ELCA Congregational Revitalization Grant!

The goal of the grant is to provide a venue for food, fellowship and meet the needs of the community. In today’s current climate, food insecurity continues to climb. Having a longstanding presence in the Quinsigamond Village, we have witnessed the changes and believe it’s our responsibility and privilege to help meet the needs of our neighbors.

With the allotted funds, ELC will be hosting a community meal once per quarter. The dates and planned meal themes are as follows:

April 27^th - Italian Dinner 6:00PM
June 8^th- BBQ noon
October 18^th – Pizza and a movie 6:00PM
Feb TBD 2025- Pancake B’fast

New Roof Accomplished!

Hallelujah! Approx $22,000 was raised and the Fellowship Hall roof was finally reparied. Thank you to all members of the congregation and community who donated and made it possible.
